In October of 2012 Crux launched a high-end aluminum product called the CruxSKUNK. This product succeeded in raising $245K in just 40 days on the crowdfunding platform kickstarter.com. In total Crux has pre-sold nearly $500K of this new product through kickstarter.com, cruxcase.com and other resellers internationally. Since the very beginning Crux has implemented an unique pre-sale strategy. In July of 2011 Crux launched its website featuring a promotional video unveiling its first hardshell-keyboard case—the Crux360. From this initial video Crux pre-sold close to $200K worth of product on the website and received countless requests from distributors and resellers worldwide.
